There’s many different ways to create a stunning custom ornament. Let me work with you to find the one that will get your group the right look at the right cost.
Brass Ornament Styles
The descriptions below should help your group choose the style that is best for you. Please feel free to call me for help going over your options.
Flat
This style is a single piece of flat brass with gold, silver or copper plating. This style can create a classic look while still showcasing the elements of the ornament beautifully.
Dangle
This style creates some extra movement into your design. It is also flat brass but a jump ring is used to connect pieces which can then move freely when hanging.
Decal
This style adds a full color image or logo to your ornament. The metal part of your ornaments made with a blank spot where a glossy coated embossed “sticker” can be adhered. Adding color by silk-screening it on the metal can be a good option. However, when multiple colors are needed it might look better and be more cost effective to choose this style.
Pop-up/Folded
Pop-up ornaments add some depth to the design. Small “S” or “V” shaped connectors are used to push areas forward or backward. The depth in some areas then becomes 1/4″-1/2″. Folding twisting or bending parts of the design can also add some depth.
*A box is required to protect the connectors from possibly being pushed and breaking.
Multi-Piece
This style connects multiple pieces of metal together using tabs and tab-ins. Those tabs add a sturdy depth of 1/4″-1/2″.
*A box is required. Due to it’s depth the ornament does not fit in the sleeve.
Wood Ornament Styles
Etched Ornaments
A single layer or dual layer ornament is available.
- The single layer can have etched areas and areas void of wood.
- The dual layer has a second one color layer behind your first layer. It is the overall shape of your entire ornament. This single color layer shows through where your front layer is void of wood.
Full Color Ornaments
A single layer or dual layer ornament is available.
- The single layer has a full color image.
- The dual layer has a second wood color layer in front of your first layer.
Glass Ornament Styles
Flat Etched Glass
These glass ornaments have your designs laser etch in the center of your custom shape. The overall shapes need to be “basic”. They measure roughly 1/2″ depth.
Acrylic Ornament Styles
Oval, rectangle and snowflake stock shapes available to have your design etched on. Custom “basic” shapes are available. This can be a cost effective way to get a “glass-like” ornament style.
